Engagements
Engagement sessions are the most deeply personal and intimate photos I capture, and couples can often feel out of place in front of a camera. Throughout the whole process, I help couples to be themselves, relax, have fun, and show love for their partner in the ways they always have. I love helping couples capture the genuine emotion between them, so my engagement sessions focus on bringing that emotion to light through simple prompts and genuine smiles.

As a wedding photographer in Pennsylvania, I recognize that you have a lot of options. At the end of the day, you're partnering with the photographer who helps you feel at ease and captures moments that you love. I'll fade into the background of your wedding day, letting you and your future spouse set the tone while only stepping in to deal with the not-so-fun logistics, like managing the timeline, walking you through posing, and straightening out the wedding dress. This is the kind of wedding I have always envisioned for myself and future spouse. Noah and Rachel invited their wedding party and immediate family to an intimate wedding at a gorgeous vineyard in the North Carolina mountains. There was gentle music, close friends, and a spectacular sunset. No DJ, no intrusions, and no worries. Only the couple and the people who mattered the most to them.

Evan and Melissa have an incredible family, and it was apparent from the very start that they meant a lot to them. The wedding day revolved around special moments between the families of the couple, including a first look with the father of the bride and one of the largest family dances I have ever seen. Of course, there was still plenty of time for intimate portraits between the two of them, including one of my favorite aerial portraits of all time.

Phipps Conservatory
At Phipps Conservatory, wedding ceremonies typically start around sunset, which doesn't leave a lot of time to capture portraits afterwards. Thankfully, with a little flash and creativity, we were able to capture some of the most intimate and unique portraits I have ever photographed. As the reception continued to roar in the tent behind us, we were alone in the quiet gardens surrounding it, lit only by the lights along the footpath. It was the perfect distraction from the rest of the world on their wedding day.

I like to call this the trial run. This is a great opportunity for us to work together before your big day, and it's the reason why most of the couples I work with choose to have an engagement session with me. We'll work together to capture your dream portraits, figuring out what works and doesn't work for you and your future spouse along the way. You'll laugh, you'll kiss, you'll smile until your face hurts, and when we're done, you'll smile again at how easy it all was.
Now we wait. While you're busy ordering your save the dates, I'll be patiently preparing for your wedding day. In the meantime, feel free to ask me any questions. This is my opportunity to help you with timeline logistics, portrait lists, or anything else in your wedding you may have questions about.
